Tour Itinerary: 7 days trip from Marrakech

Day 1: Arrival to Marrakech with Transfer to your accommodation

After our driver meets you at the airport, you may relax and spend the day seeing Jemaa el Fnaa, the main plaza, and the busy souks at your own pace.

Day 2: Marrakech guided city tour

This is the last day of your 7 days trip from Marrakech. Before you leave, you will have a walk of the Medina with an expert guide who knows Marrakech. Included in the visit are the well-known Koutoubia Mosque, the Medina, and its small streets & souks.

Discover more of Marrakech hidden history and interesting areas, such as the Saadian Bahia Palace, the Ali Ben Youssef Koranic School, and the pretty Majorelle Gardens. Your driver will bring you back to your Riad or hotel in Marrakech.

Day 3: Marrakech to Atlas Mountains to Ait Ben Haddou to Ouarzazate to Dades

Our 7 days Trip from Marrakech starts at 08:30 from Marrakech to Dades Gorges, traversing the famous Tizi N’Tichka pass with wide views of the mountains, to the High Atlas and

Berber villages before traveling to the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Lunch will be served at a neighborhood restaurant close to the Kasbah.

Next, we go to Ouarzazate, which is often referred to as “The Gate to the Desert,” where the Atlas Studios and Taourirt Kasbah  are located. A number of filmmakers now call this little city home due to its location and the structures within. It was once known to as “Hollywood of Africa.”

Then we drive to Dades waterfalls via Roses as well as Dades valley. Date with an authentic Moroccan dinner and a night in a riad or hotel in the Dades Gorges.

Day 4: Dades Valley to Todra Gorges to Erfoud to Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)

After breakfast, head back into the valley to see the amazing rock creation called “the monkey toes” and the 19th-century Kasbah of Ait Youl.

Then we travel out of the Dades valley and into the Todra gorges, where you can view the picturesque ancient clay Berber hamlet overlooking the canyon, Tinghir.

You will follow the 300-meter red cliff when you reach the Todra Gorges, where a lot of rock climbers go to practice their favorite sport.

We will eat lunch in Erfoud, which is our next stop on the journey.

Then we’ll go to Merzouga to view Erg Chebbi’s beautiful dunes of sand.

We will meet a camel man when we get there, and he will let you ride camels and get to know the magical Erg-Chebbi sand dunes. You can stop to sandboard, and watch the rising sun.

Then, a stop at a traditional Berber nomad tent before going to spend a night under the stars in desert camp. Around the fire, you will have a delicious dinner while listening to music.

Day 5: Merzouga to Berber Families to Black Desert to Merzouga

Our 7 days trip from Marrakech goes on. Following breakfast and a shower at the desert camp, you will ride a camel back to the starting point. There, you will meet your driver and go on a discovery trip of the Merzouga region, during which you will have the opportunity to witness flamingos and other migrating birds at the seasonal Merzouga lake.

Nearby is a town where almost all of the people are dark-skinned and come from Sub-Saharan countries. You may visit there to see their way of life and listen to their Gnawa music. We will make a halt at Mefes, a little, deserted town with lead mines and other minerals, on route to a family of nomads.

The hotel where you’ll be spending the night will provide dinner.

Day 6: Merzouga to E Rissani to Alnif to Nkob to Agdz to Ouarzazate

After a farewell breakfast and a shower at the hotel, we abandon the Merzouga desert and take a different road to Ouarzazate, Stop in the city of Rissani, (the ancient capital of the Tafilalet region), to visit its markets and the historic wall of Abou Aam Palace,  passing through Berber towns in the Atlas Mountains like Alnif, Agdz, and the Draa valley. Until the evening, when we get to Ouarzazate. Enjoy dinner & spend night in a riad.

Day 7: Ouarzazate to High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech

Today, we’ll leave Ouarzazate in the morning and head to Marrakech, our final destination. Following a stop at a few studios, we’ll go over the highest road pass in Morocco, the Tizi N Tichka Pass, to traverse the High Atlas Mountains and enjoy breathtaking vistas of canyons, mountains, and several Berber villages. We’ll arrive in Marrakech in the evening. Ending our 7 days trip from Marrakech.
