Day 1: Agadir - Ait Ben Haddou - Atlas Studio - Ouarzazate

After breakfast on the first day of our desert tour, we will pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 in the morning and head towards Ouarzazate. During the journey, we will travel through the plains of the Atlas Mountains and the trees of neighboring Argan, passing through ancient Berber villages that provide a historical glimpse of the region as a whole. Along the way, we will visit the world-famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. As a site for Hollywood film productions, it is also considered a UNESCO World Heritage site. Many films have been shot here, including “Kingdom of Heaven,” “The Mummy” (1999), “Gladiator,” “Lawrence of Arabia,” and others.

Not far from here, we will reach the Ouarzazate Film Studio, which is one of the largest studios in the world, offering a wide range of facilities and services to support film and television productions. We will have the opportunity to check-in and explore the place before heading to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Ouarzazate - kalaat Mgouna - Todra Gorge - Erg Chebbi (Merzouga desert)

Today we continue our tour of the desert of Merzouga on the road of a thousand kasbahs to the town of Skoura in beautiful landscapes, then to the town of Kalaat Mkouna, famous for the Damascene rose flowers, which are cultivated in the region and through which various cosmetics are produced. We will have the opportunity to visit local cooperatives here and learn about the traditional and modern methods of production.

We continue driving towards the Todra Gorge, which is adjacent to the city of Tinghir. We will take the opportunity to explore the gorge, which is known for its limestone that has been split apart over thousands of years. The area is a popular destination for rock climbers and walkers.

In the afternoon, we will continue our tour towards the desert of Erg Chebbi, passing through the town of Tingdad and Erfoud, and then to the Merzouga desert, where you can feel the warmth of its sun and the calmness of the place as soon as we approach it. Upon our arrival, we will find a camel caravan waiting for us to take you on an exceptional trip, too, accompanied by a camel guide, before arriving at the camp, you will enjoy the magical sunset from the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, then continue to the camp. You will find the receptionist waiting for you. Dinner and overnight stay will be held in the camp with music played by a local band around the campfire under millions of stars.

Day 3: Merzouga - Alnif - Nkob - Ouarzazate - Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

Today, being in the desert, do not miss the opportunity to wake up early and watch the sunrise in a picturesque natural scene that occurs when the sun begins to rise above the horizon and casts its warm golden rays on the desert landscape. After breakfast and a warm bath at the camp, you can return aboard a camel or a four-wheel drive car towards the town of Merzouga. Let’s start our tour towards Marrakech or return to Agadir.

We will pass through the town of Rissani and Al-Nif, where this road sheds light on natural scenery and nearby muddy Berber villages, adding more beauty to the trip for the day. Then, we will pass through the picturesque Draa Valley with palm and olive groves along the banks of the valley. We will stop to rest a little and take pictures of the place until we reach Ouarzazate for lunch.

We will continue our journey and start ascending the towering Atlas Mountains at an altitude of 2260 meters. Here, we will stop at the Tizi n Tishka pass to admire the amazing panoramic view from the highest peak and take pictures of the pass. Then, we will continue to Marrakech and head to your hotel or the airport, completing our wonderful desert tour that lasted 3 days from Agadir to Marrakech.
