Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley
Your journey begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Marrakech. Travel through the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping along the way to enjoy panoramic views and traditional Berber villages.
Continue to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a historic fortified village built with traditional earthen architecture and widely used as a filming location for international movies. After visiting the site, enjoy free time for lunch before heading to Ouarzazate.
In Ouarzazate, you will see the Taourirt Kasbah and the exterior of the Atlas Film Studios before continuing through the Rose Valley and into the Dades Valley. Arrive in the evening, check into your accommodation, enjoy dinner, and relax for the night.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, depart toward Tinghir to visit the spectacular Todra Gorge. Walk through the canyon, surrounded by towering cliffs carved naturally over time, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
The journey continues through oasis towns and palm-filled valleys toward Erfoud, known for its fossils and desert landscapes. Later in the day, arrive in Merzouga, where you will be welcomed with traditional Moroccan mint tea.
In the afternoon, begin your camel ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, reaching your desert camp just in time to watch the sunset. After settling into your tent, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner followed by Berber music around the campfire. Spend the night under a sky full of stars in the heart of the Sahara.
Day 3: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Marrakech
Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes before returning to the camp for breakfast. You will then begin the journey back to Marrakech, traveling through changing desert landscapes and scenic valleys.
Along the way, enjoy several stops for photos, coffee, and lunch breaks. Arrival in Marrakech is expected in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your desert adventure.
