Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

On the first day of your 10 day tour from Marrakech, we welcome you upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport or pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech, depending on your arrival time.

We then transfer you comfortably to your accommodation, allowing you time to relax after your journey. If time permits, we can take a short orientation drive through the city to introduce you to Marrakech and its surroundings.

The rest of the day is free for you to rest, settle in, or explore nearby areas at your own pace. Overnight stay in a riad or hotel in Marrakech, preparing for the guided city tour on the following day.

Day 2: Guided Tour of Marrakech

After breakfast at your riad or hotel, we begin a guided tour of Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most vibrant imperial cities.

We start with a visit to the Koutoubia Mosque, the city’s most iconic landmark, followed by time at Jemaa el-Fnaa, a UNESCO-listed square known for its lively atmosphere, street performers, and traditional food stalls.

We then continue to the Bahia Palace, an outstanding example of Moroccan architecture, before visiting the Ben Youssef Madrasa, one of the most important historical schools in the old medina.

Afterward, we explore the traditional souks of Marrakech, where you can see local crafts, spices, and artisan workshops. The afternoon is free for lunch and personal exploration.

At the end of the day, we return you to your riad or hotel for an overnight stay in Marrakech.

Day 3: Marrakech – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

After breakfast, we depart from Marrakech and begin our journey toward southern Morocco, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest road pass in North Africa.

Our first major stop is the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s best-preserved fortified villages. We take time to walk through the ksar and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

We then continue to Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Sahara.” Depending on timing, we may stop for photos near the film studios or Kasbah Taourirt.

In the afternoon, we drive through the Rose Valley before reaching the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations and scenic river landscapes. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or riad in the Dades Valley.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast in the Dades Valley, we continue our journey toward the Sahara Desert. Our first stop is the Todra Gorge, a spectacular limestone canyon where we allow time for a short walk along the river between its towering rock walls.

We then drive through Tinghir and Tinjdad, stopping for lunch along the way, before continuing toward Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops and desert landscapes. As we approach the Sahara, the scenery gradually changes into vast arid plains and sand dunes.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, we switch to camels for a trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. We ride through the dunes at sunset, with time to take photos and enjoy the peaceful desert atmosphere.

Day 5: Merzouga Desert Exploration – Nomads & Khamlia Village

After breakfast at the desert camp, we continue exploring the Sahara with a 4×4 desert excursion around Merzouga.

We visit local nomad families, where we learn about their traditional lifestyle and daily life in the desert. We then continue to M’Fis, an old mining village offering wide desert views and insight into the region’s history.

Next, we head to Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music, where descendants of sub-Saharan communities preserve their musical heritage. We enjoy a short live performance before continuing our desert tour.

If conditions allow, we stop at Dayet Srij, a seasonal lake that attracts migratory birds during certain times of the year.

In the late afternoon, we return to Hassilabied, where we check into a hotel or riad. Dinner and overnight stay in Merzouga.

Day 6: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fez

After breakfast at your hotel in Merzouga, we depart toward northern Morocco, leaving the Sahara behind and heading into the Middle Atlas region.

Our first stop is a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Ziz Valley, known for its long palm groves and river-fed oasis landscapes. We then continue through the town of Midelt, where we stop for lunch along the way.

In the afternoon, we drive through the cedar forests near Azrou, home to Barbary macaques. We then stop in Ifrane, often called the “Little Switzerland” of Morocco, known for its alpine-style architecture and clean streets.

Later in the day, we arrive in Fez, one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities. We transfer you to your riad or hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Fez.

Day 7: Guided Tour of Fez

We start at the Bab Bou Jeloud, the main entrance to the old medina. From there, we explore Fes el‑Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its narrow alleys, traditional markets, and artisan workshops.

We visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, an outstanding example of Marinid architecture, followed by stops at traditional tanneries, where leather has been produced using centuries-old methods.

Later, we visit the Nejjarine Museum to discover traditional Moroccan woodwork. We also stop outside the Royal Palace of Fez to admire its impressive golden gates.

After free time for lunch, we return you to your accommodation. Dinner and overnight stay in Fez.

Day 8: Fez – Chefchaouen

After breakfast at your riad or hotel in Fez, we depart toward northern Morocco, driving through scenic landscapes toward the Rif Mountains.

By midday, we arrive in Chefchaouen, known for its blue-painted streets and relaxed mountain atmosphere. We transfer you to your hotel or riad and allow free time to explore the medina at your own pace.

You can walk through the narrow blue alleys, visit Plaza Uta el-Hammam, and enjoy the surrounding cafés and shops. Those who wish may also visit Ras El Ma, a natural spring located just outside the medina.

The evening is free for dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Chefchaouen.

Day 9: Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca

After breakfast at your hotel or riad in Chefchaouen, we depart toward Morocco’s capital city, Rabat.

Upon arrival in Rabat, we visit the Hassan Tower, an iconic monument of an unfinished mosque, followed by the Mohammed V Mausoleum, one of the country’s most important historical sites.

After free time for lunch, we continue our journey along the Atlantic coast toward Casablanca. Upon arrival, we transfer you to your hotel or riad, where you can relax after a full day of travel and sightseeing.

Day 10: Casablanca – Marrakech

After breakfast at your hotel in Casablanca, we begin the day with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and a masterpiece of Moroccan craftsmanship. We allow time to admire its exterior and, if you wish, visit the interior with a local guide.

We then stop at Mohammed V Square, a central landmark surrounded by colonial-era architecture and green spaces.

After the visit, we depart from Casablanca and drive back to Marrakech. Upon arrival, we transfer you to your hotel or riad, marking the end of your 10 day tour from Marrakech to the Merzouga Desert.
