Day 2: Chefchaouen - Tangier
After breakfast, depart Chefchaouen and drive to Tangier, Morocco’s historic gateway between Europe and Africa.
Upon arrival, you will explore the Tangier Medina, characterized by whitewashed houses, narrow streets, and coastal viewpoints overlooking the Mediterranean. The medina is surrounded by historic walls and gates and offers a mix of local life, small shops, cafés, and panoramic terraces.
You will then visit the Kasbah of Tangier, located within the former sultan’s palace Dar El Makhzen. Today, the complex houses museums that display archaeological finds, traditional artefacts, and exhibits highlighting Tangier’s strategic and cultural history.
Next, stop at Café Hafa, a famous cliffside café known for its views over the Mediterranean Sea. This is an ideal place to enjoy a traditional Moroccan mint tea and take a short break.

Today’s journey continues to Rabat, the capital of Morocco.
You will visit the Hassan Tower, an unfinished 12th-century minaret dating back to the Almohad dynasty and one of Rabat’s most iconic landmarks. The tower stands on the site of a grand mosque that was never completed.
Adjacent to the tower is the Mohammed V Mausoleum, an architectural masterpiece and the resting place of King Mohammed V and his sons, King Hassan II and Prince Moulay Abdallah. The mausoleum is known for its refined craftsmanship, including marble, zellij tilework, and carved plaster.
After lunch, continue to the Kasbah of the Udayas, a fortified historic quarter overlooking the mouth of the Bou Regreg River where it meets the Atlantic Ocean. The kasbah’s narrow streets, painted in white and blue, offer panoramic views over the river, ocean, and coastline.
