Day Trip from Marrakech to Ourika Valley

We take you on a full-day trip from Marrakech to the Ourika Valley, located in the High Atlas Mountains, south of the city. The valley is about 45 km from Marrakech, and the drive takes around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic and stops along the way. This day trip is ideal if you want to leave the city behind and spend a relaxed day in the mountains. We stay with you from pickup in the morning until we return to Marrakech in the afternoon.

Day Trip from Marrakech to Ourika Valley Itinerary:

Pickup & Departure from Marrakech

We pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech in the morning using a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. After a short introduction to the day, we drive toward the Atlas Mountains, passing through small villages and open countryside.

Drive Through the Atlas Mountains

During the drive, we follow a scenic mountain road with views of Berber villages, valleys, and terraced fields. We make short stops along the way for photos and to enjoy the landscape.

Stops Along the Way

We stop at a traditional Berber village to see daily life in the mountains. There is also an optional stop at a local argan oil cooperative where you can learn how argan oil is produced. These stops are short and flexible, depending on your pace.

Ourika Valley & Setti Fatma

Once we arrive in the Ourika Valley, we head to Setti Fatma, a small village by the river. You have free time to walk along the river, relax, and enjoy the fresh mountain air. For those who wish, an optional local guide can lead a short hike to the waterfalls. The walk is done at your own pace.

Lunch by the River (Optional)

After the walk, you can enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch at a riverside restaurant. Lunch is optional and not included in the tour price. You can choose a restaurant that suits you and relax by the water.

Free Time & Relaxation

After lunch, you have time to sit by the river, have mint tea, take photos, or explore the area on your own. This part of the day is relaxed, with no fixed schedule.

Return to Marrakech

In the afternoon, we begin the drive back to Marrakech. We drop you off at your hotel or riad, ending the day trip in the late afternoon.
