Today you will be discovering Fes, which is the oldest city of faith and culture in the world. The city was built by Moulay Idriss II in the year 790. There are many interesting places to see in Fes that a local guide can show you. Some of these are Al-Qarawiyyin University, which was the first university ever, Bou Inania Madrasa, the Jewish The district (Millah), plazas, the Andalusians’ and Potters’ Districts, museums, Souks (traditional markets), the incredible Tanneries, and Bab Boujloud.

We’ll eat lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant in the Medina, which is a very old area. Fes is the center of Moroccan crafts. On your full-day tour of Fes, you’ll get to see a famous ceramic plant. Then, you’ll be able to take in a beautiful view of the Medina. When the trip is over, we’ll take you back to you’re riad or hotel.

Day 3: Fes, Ifrane, Azrou, Midelt, Erfoud and Merzouga

We’ll leave from your Fes hotel after breakfast and head for Merzouga as well as the Sahara desert, stopping in Ifrane (which is like Switzerland in Morocco) and the Cedar Forest, which is the country’s largest forest along with home to gorillas. After that, we’ll have lunch in Midelt.

We will take a break along the beautiful Ziz Valley/gorge and then keep going after crossing Tizi N’Talghamt to enjoy the wide view of Ziz Valley. We’ll keep going on our trip to Merzouga later. When we get to our next stop, we’ll drop you at your Merzouga housing.

Day 4: Visit Merzouga and the Sahara Desert, ride a camel, and stay in a desert camp.

Today is all about exploring the town near Erg Chebbi’s sand dunes. After breakfast at your hotel, the tour starts with a stop to see the nomads who still live in Berber huts in the middle of the Sahara desert. Join them for tea and learn about their life.

We will then get to know the music and way of life of the Gnaoua people better when we visit the small town of Khamilia. Then we’ll have lunch. After some time, we go back to Merzouga, park the car, and ride a camel over the Erg Chebbi desert’s tall sand dunes. When you’re on top of a big hill, the sun going down will look beautiful.

Then we’ll go back to you’re desert camp, where you can spend the night in either fancy or simple lodgings. After a hearty meal, it’s time to listen to some Berber music played by locals in the area under the stars. You can dance to the beat of music if you like.
